Terms of Use
The agreement between you and us. Short, because the service is simple: KiyanoGo is free, we do not sell you anything, and we do not hold your bookings.
Who you are agreeing with
Kevin LenhartForststrasse 1076756 BellheimGermanyinfo@theshortcutagency.deWhat KiyanoGo is
A free guide to places in Japan and South Korea, with tools for saving them and building trips. You can use all of it without an account. There is no paid tier, no subscription and no feature held back for payment.
What KiyanoGo is not
We are not a travel agency, tour operator, airline or hotel. We do not take bookings, hold reservations, process payments or issue tickets. When you search for a flight, a hotel, an activity or a data plan, you leave for a company that does those things, and your contract is with them under their terms.
We do not show prices or availability that we have not been given by the provider showing them. Where you see a price, it came from them, on their page.
Accuracy
Place descriptions are written by hand and checked as carefully as we can manage. Travel information still ages: opening hours change, businesses close, and access to a filming location can be withdrawn by whoever owns it. Treat what you read here as a starting point and confirm anything your trip depends on.
Ratings shown for hotels are our own editorial judgement. They are not aggregated guest reviews and are not presented as such.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it. You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen, which removes the account and everything saved in it. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or others using it.
Using the app fairly
Please do not:
- scrape or bulk-copy the catalogue for another product
- attack, overload or probe the service or its infrastructure
- work around technical limits, or misuse anyone else’s account
- use the app to break the law where you are, or where you are going
Our content and other people’s
The text, design and code are ours and stay ours. Photographs belong to their photographers and are licensed through Pexels; map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence. Names of films and series appear descriptively, to say what was filmed where — we use no stills or promotional artwork, and we are not affiliated with any studio, broadcaster or streaming service.
Affiliate links
Some links earn us a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. They are disclosed where they appear. They do not change what we recommend: hotels are ranked by how close they are to the places you saved, and nothing on this site is ordered by what it pays.
Liability
We are liable without limit for injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only where we breach an obligation essential to the purpose of this agreement, and then only for damage that was foreseeable and typical for a service of this kind.
The service is provided free of charge and as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for the content, availability or conduct of the sites we link to.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.
Changes and ending
We may change these terms — for example when a feature changes — and the date at the bottom will move. Continuing to use KiyanoGo after a change means the new version applies. You can stop at any time by deleting your account or simply not using the app.
Law and jurisdiction
German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of mandatory law in the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.
