Gilsangsa Temple

길상사

Seongbuk, Seoul · 서울

A wooded temple in Seongbuk-dong, formerly one of Seoul’s most exclusive gisaeng restaurants, donated in full by its owner in 1997 and converted to Buddhist use.

Why it’s worth it

The pavilions are still the restaurant’s private dining rooms, scattered up a wooded slope. Free, silent, and ten minutes from Hansung University station.
