Nezu Shrine

根津神社

Bunkyo, Tokyo · 東京

An early 1700s shrine complex in Bunkyo with original buildings, a pond, and a hillside tunnel of small vermilion torii gates.

Why it’s worth it

The torii path is a fraction of Fushimi Inari's size but you can usually walk it alone. In April the hillside azalea garden is the reason people come, and it gets genuinely busy for those two weeks only.
