Inwangsan & Seonbawi
인왕산 선바위
Seodaemun, Seoul · 서울
A short but steep granite mountain on the western edge of the old city, with a fortress wall path, a shrine complex and the weathered Seonbawi rocks where rituals are still performed.
Why it’s worth it
It is the least touristed of the four guardian mountains and the ritual site is active — you may well see a ceremony. The summit is about an hour from the subway and gives you the whole basin.
