The largest concentration of used bookshops in the world, most of them facing north so the sun never reaches the stock. Also, improbably, Tokyo’s densest curry district.

Why it’s worth it

Several shops deal only in ukiyo-e prints or prewar film posters. Books and curry in the same afternoon is the correct way to do Jimbōchō.
