Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building
東京駅丸の内駅舎
Marunouchi, Tokyo · 東京
The original station building, bombed in 1945 and rebuilt short, then returned in 2012 to its intended three storeys and twin domes. The relief work inside the domes is worth the neck ache.
Why it’s worth it
Stand back on the Marunouchi plaza at blue hour — the brick goes warm against the glass towers behind it. Then look up in the north dome.
