Manjanggul Lava Tube
만장굴
Gujwa, Jeju · 제주
One of the longest lava tubes in the world, with one kilometre of its length open to visitors, ending at a 7.6-metre lava column formed where the ceiling collapsed.
Why it’s worth it
It holds a constant 11°C, which makes it the best possible plan on a hot August afternoon. The floor is wet volcanic rock — proper shoes, not sandals.
