A small shrine whose main hall is an enormous concrete lion’s head, built in 1974, with the performance stage set inside the open jaws.
Why it’s worth it
It is completely unlike any other shrine in Japan and it is a seven-minute walk from Namba station. The lion is said to swallow bad luck.
