Yoyogi Park
代々木公園
Harajuku, Tokyo · 東京
A wide, flat park next to Meiji Jingū that fills on Sundays with drum circles, rockabilly dancers, dog meetups, food festivals and people asleep on the grass.
Why it’s worth it
Sunday afternoon is the whole point. It is the least formal public space in central Tokyo, and the closest the city gets to unstructured.
