Jeonju Hanok Village
전주한옥마을
Hanok Village, Jeonju · 전주
The largest surviving concentration of hanok in Korea, built in the 1930s as a deliberate statement of Korean identity under colonial rule, and still lived in.
Why it’s worth it
Climb to Omokdae at dusk and look back over seven hundred tiled roofs. Bukchon in Seoul has a few streets; this has a whole town.
