Pungnammun Gate

풍남문

Jungang, Jeonju · 전주

The southern gate of Jeonju’s Joseon-era wall, rebuilt in 1768 and the only one of the four still standing, now on a roundabout beside the market.

Why it’s worth it

It is floodlit at night and sits directly between the hanok village and Nambu market, so you will pass it anyway. Two minutes, and worth stopping for.
