Sarasa Nishijin

さらさ西陣

Nishijin, Kyoto · 京都

A former sentō in the weaving district, its majolica tiled walls left completely intact, now a café doing curry, cake and coffee under the old high ceiling.

Why it’s worth it

The tiles are the original Kyoto-made majolica and cover every surface. Come for lunch, sit where the bath used to be.
