Beomeo-sa
범어사
Geumjeong, Busan · 부산
Founded in 678 on the slope of Geumjeongsan, with a one-pillar gate, wisteria groves and a working monastic community that runs templestays in English.
Why it’s worth it
It is a genuine mountain temple twenty minutes from a metro station. The wisteria in May and the hike up to the fortress wall from behind it are both worth planning around.
