Osaka Castle
大阪城
Chūō, Osaka · 大阪
A rebuilt tower at the centre of a large park, standing on original 16th-century masonry including some of the largest cut stones in Japan.
Why it’s worth it
The keep interior is a museum with a lift; the walls and moats outside are the actually impressive part. Circle the outer moat at ground level before deciding whether to go up.
